Separate product price from delivery scope

Ask each quotation to state packing, freight and delivery arrangements separately. Confirm the named delivery point and responsibilities for loading, unloading and onward movement. List any costs that still require a separate quote rather than assuming they are included in the product price.

Agree the packing plan

Our factory photographs show protective wrapping, timber packing and container loading. Use them to discuss the plan for your order: which units share a package, how packages are labelled and what handling information will be supplied. The photographs show actual work, not a fixed packing specification for every order.

Prepare the receiving location

Tell the supplier and transport provider about access restrictions, unloading equipment and the planned storage area. Confirm who will receive the shipment and keep the packing list available. Ask for the agreed handling and storage instructions before the goods arrive.

Record condition at receipt

Compare package numbers and quantities with the packing list. Photograph the packages and any visible damage before and during unpacking where practical. Retain labels, identify affected opening IDs and contact the agreed responsible party promptly. Follow the actual delivery and claims terms agreed for the order.

Make replacement discussions specific

Provide the opening ID, drawing revision, affected component, photographs and delivery reference. Ask who supplies the replacement, who arranges transport and who handles site work. Record these responsibilities during quotation comparison so that a future issue has a clear contact route.

FAQ

Before we begin.

A few things to know before you start your window and door inquiry.

Does every order use the same timber packing?

No fixed packing arrangement is promised here. Discuss unit sizes, configuration, route and handling needs, then record the agreed packing plan in the order.

Is installation included?

Ask for an explicit statement in the quotation. Product supply, transport, unloading and installation are separate scope items and should each be confirmed.

What should I send if a component arrives damaged?

Send the package and opening IDs, photos, the affected component and delivery details through the agreed contact route. Use the actual order terms to determine the next steps.
