FAQ

Before we begin.

A few things to know before you start your window and door inquiry.

Why are company details and document numbers different in these previews?

These are edited public copies supplied for website display, with company details replaced and identifiers hidden. They do not independently establish the original holder. Request the complete original record for holder and scope verification.

Are glass and other supplier records included here?

This public preview collection covers window and door records. Ask separately for the glass or other material documents relevant to your proposed configuration.

Does one certificate cover all products in the catalogue?

No. Read the named series, product type, configuration and conditions in the relevant document. A certificate or report for one system does not automatically cover another model, opening type, glass build-up or size.

What is the difference between a test report and a certification document?

A test report records the results for the tested sample and method. A certification document describes the product and scope under a certification scheme. The exact conditions are set out in the record; these document types should not be given interchangeable labels.

Are thermal calculations the same as NFRC certification?

No. A software calculation is not, on its own, an NFRC certification record. An AAMA test report is also distinct from an NFRC listing. Specify which evidence your project requires when requesting documents.

Why might the report model name differ from the catalogue model?

Documents retain the model names used in the original records. Send the catalogue product reference with your request so we can discuss which record relates to the proposed system and configuration.

Can I obtain the full report?

Use the request link on a document card. The website ID identifies the public preview without exposing a certificate or report number. Request the complete record and its relevant schedules; a preview is not the full document.

Does a displayed document prove current approval for my project?

A document must be read within its product scope and any stated validity conditions. Its presence on this page is not a universal project approval. Provide the project’s documentation requirements and proposed configuration so the appropriate records and any current-status checks can be identified.

Can changing the glass or dimensions affect the document’s applicability?

Yes. The proposed product should be compared with the configuration and scope described in the document. Flag changes to glass, dimensions, hardware or opening layout before relying on a rating for the order.
