Window & Door RFQ Checklist

A clear opening schedule helps keep the quotation tied to the products your project needs. Start with one row for each different opening or configuration.

Custom aluminum windows and doors for trade and project procurement. We also accept personal custom aluminum window orders.

For importers, distributors, contractors, project buyers and homeowners planning custom aluminum windows.

## Start with the Information You Have

For an initial inquiry, send the opening type, approximate size, quantity and destination if known. The checklist below helps you add detail as it becomes available; it is not a requirement to complete every field before contacting us.

## The Essential Information

| Item | What to include |
| --- | --- |
| Opening ID | A reference that also appears on your drawing |
| Product type | Sliding door, bifold door, awning window or another opening type |
| Quantity | Number of units with the same configuration |
| Width and height | Units and whether these are frame or structural-opening dimensions |
| Operation | Fixed/moving panels, hinge side or sliding direction, and viewing side |
| Glazing | Required build-up or the project requirements if undecided |
| Finish and hardware | Preferred finish and operating/locking needs |
| Destination | Country, state or region, and delivery location if known |
| Technical requirements | Applicable project specifications and requested supporting documents |
| Drawing revision | File name, revision and date used for the inquiry |

## Example Schedule

The following rows illustrate how to organize an inquiry. They are not product size recommendations or confirmed configurations.

| Opening ID | Type | Quantity | Overall frame W × H | Units | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| D-01 | Sliding door | 2 | 2400 × 2100 | mm | Panel layout and glazing to be discussed |
| W-01 | Awning window | 4 | 900 × 1200 | mm | Screen requested; glazing to be discussed |

In a working schedule, add separate fields for the drawing revision, operation, glass, finish, hardware and document requirements as needed. The example keeps the columns short for readability.

## Attach the Details That Matter

Include elevations, opening schedules or specification excerpts where available. Mark which details are fixed requirements and which are open for discussion. Keep the latest revision clearly identified.

## If Your Specification Is Not Complete

Send what you have. The product type, approximate dimensions, quantity and destination are a useful starting point. Highlight missing decisions instead of filling them with assumptions.

## A Message You Can Adapt

Use the following structure in an email or the inquiry form, replacing the bracketed text with your own details.

We are sourcing [window and door types] for [distribution or a project]. The destination is [country and region, or not decided yet]. We need approximately [quantity]. Our dimensions are in [units] and refer to [frame sizes or structural openings]. The attached schedule is revision [reference, if available]. Our fixed requirements are [details]. We would like help with [undecided items]. Our requested delivery date is [date, if known].

## Before You Send

- Check that every size includes a unit and dimension basis.

- Make sure the quantities match the drawing references.

- Identify the latest schedule or drawing revision.

- Mark undecided items instead of guessing specifications.

- Include a reply email and the destination information you have.

## Send Your Schedule to ENGGIA

Use the inquiry form to share your requirements and attach the relevant files.

## Attach evidence and packing requirements to the same schedule

Include catalogue product IDs, requested document references and delivery requirements beside your opening schedule. Identify undecided glazing and dimension details so that the quotation can separate confirmed requirements from alternatives.

## Should repeated openings have separate rows?

Openings with the same dimensions and configuration can share a line with a quantity and clear references. Use a separate row if the size, operation, glazing or other relevant detail differs. The schedule should still make it possible to identify the corresponding openings on the drawing.

## Can I provide measurements in inches?

Yes—identify the unit clearly for every dimension and keep the schedule consistent. If you include both inches and millimeters, state which measurement controls. Do not leave the reader to infer the units from the size.

## What if I only know the structural-opening dimensions?

Label them as structural-opening dimensions. Include available installation details and leave the final frame dimensions for confirmation. The example schedule’s frame dimensions should not be copied as an installation allowance rule.

## How should I describe the opening direction?

State the viewing side, then mark hinges, fixed panels and moving panels on the elevation. For a folding door, show the stacking side. A phrase such as “left opening” is incomplete if the viewing direction is unknown.

## What should I write if the glass has not been selected?

Write “to be discussed” and include any project requirement you already have, such as a specified performance target or safety-glazing requirement from the project team. Do not guess a glass build-up simply to fill an empty cell.

## Which files are most useful?

An opening schedule, labeled elevation drawings and relevant specification pages are a useful starting set. Identify the latest revision and highlight affected openings when sending an update. Avoid attaching several conflicting versions without explaining which one controls.

## Do I need an exact delivery address for the first inquiry?

A country and state or region can start the discussion, with the port or final delivery location added when known. More precise destination and delivery-scope information will be needed when comparing transport-related items in a proposal.
